Pie Crust:
2 c flour ( minus 2 tbsp)
3/4 c shortening (very cold)
1 tsp salt
4 - 5 tbsp ice-cold water

Filling:
6 - 7 Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
1 1/2 c Splenda
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg (freshly ground)
1/4 c flour
2 tbsp Butter (cold)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Add flour and salt to bowl, cut in the shortening leaving little bits of the shortening in the flour.

2. Add the water tbsp at a time until the dough is at the right texture.

3. Cut the dough in half, wrap each half in plastic wrapping and refrigerate (best for 30 minutes)

4. Cut apples, add the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour and salt. Mix well.

5.Take dough out and roll out to desired thickness.

6. Add dough to pie pan and remember, using a fork, to punch little holes in the dough.

7. Add the apple mixture into the pie. Then sprinkle a little flour inside of the pie (which will thicken the juice from the apples while cooking. then cut the butter into little pieces and scatter inside of the pie.

8. Roll out the other half of the dough and add it to the top of the pie, cut and pinch the dough to close the pie. REMEMBER to add slits in the top of the dough to allow air to escape.

Bake at 365 for 45 - 50minutes.
