Pie Crust:
2 egg whites
1/8 tea. salt
1/8 tea. cream of tarter
1/2 cup sifted sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 tea vanilla


Pie Filling:
1 package Baker's German Sweet chocolate squares
3 Tbls. water
1 tea vanilla
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs whites with salt and cream of tartar until foamy. Add sugar slowly, beating until very stiff peaks are formed. Fold in nuts and 1/2 tea vanilla. Spread in greased 8" pie plate and build up on sides 1/2 above the pan. Cook in 300 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool this meringue shell.

Now melt chocolate and water over low heat, stirring constantly. Cool until thick. Add 1 tea. vanilla and then fold in the whipped cream. Pile the chocolate mixture in the meringue shell and chill for 2 hours.
