3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 lbs stew beef
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tbs flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 ts pepper
4 beef bouillon cubs
4 cups water
4 cups potatoes, cut up
2 cups carrots, sliced
1 cup celery
1 cup frozen corn

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in 4 quart pot. Add beef and brown thoroughly. Remove beef and put to one side. In same pot, using remaining oil, sauté garlic until light brown. Add chopped onion cook until transparent, Add flour, cook until light brown , Return meat and juice to pot. Add salt, Worcestershire sauce, bouillon cubes and 1/2 cup water. Stir well, make sure is completely blended into water. Add rest of water, stir to mix and stir until stew boils. Continue to stir until gravy thickens.
Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots, cook 10 minutes. Add celery, corn and cook 7 minutes. Serve.
