1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 c. flour
2 tsp.soda
2 tsp.cream of tarter

Directions:

Roll into balls, then into water, dip into sugar or sprinkles. Bake at 350 until light brown.

Ok confession time, I am probably grandma's only grandchild that didn't like those cookies with the chocolate middle and walnut on top. I always liked these better, and of course her sugar cookies. they were the best because she always dressed them up. My favorite was frosted with chocolate frosting and coconut sprinkled on top.
