1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 T lemon extract
1 T lemon juice
Frosting:
1/4 Cup butter, 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, 2 T lemon juice & 1 tsp lemon zest
Directions:
Directions:
Add softened butter, shortening, sugar & eggs beat well then add dry ingredients a little at a time along with milk, extract and lemon juice, mix well then grease and flour a loaf pan and add ingredients. Bake 350º 65-70 minutes.
Cool on a rack then frost.
