6½ c. water
2 c. distilled white vinegar
¼ c. canning salt
4 fresh dill sprigs
3 garlic cloves
10-15 pickling cucumbers

Directions:
In a large pot over high heat, bring the water, vinegar and salt to a boil. When it reaches a rapid boil, turn off the stove and let the liquid sit to cool for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, add the dill sprigs, garlic cloves and pickling cucumbers to a gallon sized glass jar with an airtight lid.

Pour the brine mixture over the cucumbers; they should be completely covered by the liquid. Tightly seal the jar with its lid.

Let the pickles stand on the counter for 3 to 5 days. At this point the pickles are ready to eat or be refrigerated. They will keep for 2 months in the refrigerator.
