1 egg
¾ cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1¼ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup peeled, chopped apples

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Beat egg. Add sugar gradually, beating thoroughly after each addition. Sift (or whisk) together flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend with egged sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla, nuts, and apples. Bake in a greased 8x8 inch pan for 20-25 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
