Jalapeño Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients:  
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. all purpose flour
2 T. sugar
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. hot vegetable oil

Add
1 can Mexican whole-kernel corn
Chopped jalapeño peppers, to taste (usually 2 -3 small peppers)
1 small can green chilies, drained
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 c fried bacon, crumnbled

Directions:

Combine corn bread mix in large bowl,
Add other ingredients and mix 1 minute.

Pour into hot greased tins or skillet.

Bake 425º 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center - comes out clean,

Great with ham and black-eyed peas on New Years Day!
