Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Hattie wrote, "Whenever we visited Fay and Lois in Temple City, CA, Mary Theobold, Lois' neighbor, always brought goodies over." Fay and Lois Reibold were the couple who "adopted" Hattie when she and her mother moved to Sparta. Her mother had remarried after her father died and hired her out to Fay and Lois as house help. They had no children and treated her as their own. Hattie took Lois into her home and cared for her until her "other mother" died.
