1 box chocolate cake mix
1 can chocolate frosting

Edible Cookie Dough Filling Ingredients:

1 cup softened real butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teas. vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1 teas. salt
3 cups flour
2 cups mini semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Make and bake cake mix according to package instructions in two round greased cake pans.
Meanwhile combine filling ingredients, first mixing wet ingredients together, then add dry, and chips last.
After the cakes have cooled. Form the filling dough in a disc on top of the first cake layer to fit shape of the cake.
Or you can use the empty cake pan to form the dough in and transfer to top of first cake layer. Add the second cake layer on top of dough and press slightly.
Note..You may split the dough and use half in the middle and the other half on top if you like.
Remove half of the can frosting to a piping bag. Melt the remaining half in the microwave 10 seconds to thick pourable consistency. Pour over cake and let drip down sides. Pipe top with remaining frosting in peaks. Garnish with mini chocolate chip cookies if desired.
