1cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2eggs
1cup milk
1/4 cup shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425
Place a 9X9 inch baking pan or a muffin tin (12)in the oven to heat
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in cornmeal. Add eggs, milk and melted shortening.

Beat til smooth.
Spray the baking pan with oil. Pour cornbread mixture into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes
