Personal Notes:
There are many Lemon Drop recipes but this one has proven to be a favorite time and again.
A customer asked me to use Limoncello in her cocktail, but when I tasted the finished product, I hated the artificial-ness of the Limoncello. For her next round, I added fresh Lemon Juice and a little simple syrup and that was the fix in the mix. From then on, I was the only bartender she would go to for her Lemon Drops, and I got a new and improved recipe out of the experience.
This is why I always taste test a cocktail if I have never made it before. It tells me right away if it's balanced and well made or if it needs work.
