Ingredients: Wash the cucumbers and the big jar. Cut the cucumber almost all the way but down one way adup the other. Add dill leaves and some garlic to the bottom. Place cucumbers on top until the jar is full, adding dill and garlic in between. In an about 1or 1.5 L jar add warm water and a tablespoon of salt. Stir to dissolve and pour over the cucumbers to cover them. Add a slice of bread on top. Rye or sourdough would be best because you need the yeast to aid in the fermentation. Place in a warm but not hot place outside. In about 3-4 days they should be ready. P.S. taste to see if it is sour enough . If you taste the brine after 2 days and find it needs a bit more salt, add some.
