1/2 c brown sugar
2 t cinnamon
2 granny smith apples peeled and diced to 1/2 in
1/2 c butter room temp
2/3 c sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 t vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 3/4 t baking soda
1/2 c milk
Glaze
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 T milk

Directions:
In large bowl cream together the butter, sugar beat in eggs 1 at a time until completely mixed. Add the vanilla and mix. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour and baking soda. Add 1/2 c milk, whisk until smooth. Add flour and baking soda. Mix into the butter mixture. Stir to blend. Pour 1/2 the batter into prepared loaf pan. Layer 1/2 the apple mixture on top of the batter followed by 1/2 the brown sugar mixture, gently press the apples into the batter. Cover with the remaining batter. Top with the remaining apples topping with the brown sugar mixture. Bake 350 50-60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. While bread cools mix the powdered sugar with 1 T milk. Mix until smooth and drizzle over bread.
