4 c flour
3 t baking powder
2 t salt
1/2 c shortening
small pan real warm water 2/3 full

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt till grainy texture. Add shortening and mix with hands till grainy texture. Add a little water a little at a time until dough is pliable and doesn't stick to table. Add more flour if gooey. Cover, let rise in warm place 5 minutes. While dough is rising turn fire on griddle pan on medium heat 5-7 minutes. Griddle must be really hot before making tortillas. Roll out with narrow rolling pin. Take small amount of dough the size of large walnuts. Roll out and put on griddle, turn over immediately. Cook till brown then turn. Pu ton plate with towel on it, cover tortillas with towel on both sides to keep soft. Store in Ziplock bag with towel around tortillas.
