Ingredients:
3 cups milk
1 cube oleo or butter
1 tablespoon salt
¼ cup sugar
3½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the turkey carcass, cool and remove meat. Prep vegetables. You can finish making the soup while the dumpling mixture is cooling.

Dumplings: Heat all but flour to boiling and butter is melted. Then add flour all at once. Stir well then remove from heat. COOL! This is very important. Drop by spoon into boiling soup stock, turn to simmer, cover and cook about 10 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mom made turkey and dumplings after every Thanksgiving. Ken Croy got the recipe from me, his sister, and gave it a try. I think he perfected it. I never could, hence the second version in this book.
