2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Sweet Onion Chopped
1/2 tsp each Salt, Garlic Powder, Ground Pepper
1 tsp Sugar
2 tsp Grated Parmesan
1 29 Oz Can Tomato Puree
2 28 Oz Can Crushed Tomatoes
1 Tbsp Dried Basil
10 Sprigs Fresh Basil
2 Lb Ground Chuck
1 Lb Italian Sausage

Directions:
Directions:
Heat Olive Oil and Butter over medium heat, add onion and cook for 1 minute

Stir in Ground Chuck and Italian Sausage breaking them up with a spoon, continue at medium heat and cook until brown. Add Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper, cook about 2 minutes, drain some fat if you like.

Stir in Tomato Puree and Crushed Tomatoes then the Dried Basil, I rease heat and bring to a boil.

Stir in Basil Sprigs, Sugar and Grated Parmesan, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 1 hour.

Can leave out the sausage if you like.

Can use all dried Basil if you don't have fresh, measure with your heart

Makes a lot of sauce and is perfect for lasagna and freezes well for a quick
weeknight dinner over your favorite pasta.
