6 C Flour
5 tsp Baking Powder
3 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cream of Tartar
3 Tbsp Crisco
1 Tbsp Caraway Seeds
1 Qt Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add the Crisco and work this in with your fingers.

Add the Caraway seeds.

Make a well in the middle and add Buttermilk til dough is wet, knead on a well floured surface.

Shape into a round cast iron pan, cut a cross on top

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 350 degrees for 15 minutes
