2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ cup maple syrup

Pecan topping:
1 cup pecans, chopped
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsps. unsalted butter, melted

Drizzle:
½ cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsps. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In another bowl combine buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract and maple syrup and mix until smooth. Gradually add wet mixture to dry ingredients stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Pour batter into prepared baking pan smoothing top with spatula. In a separate bowl mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter until well coated. Sprinkle evenly over batter in pan. Bake in preheated 350ºF oven for 30-35 minutes, edges should be golden brown. Whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup and milk until smooth. Adjust consistency if needed. Allow cake to cool 10 minutes and drizzle maple glaze over warm cake.
