Ingredients:  
Mix salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Sprinkle evenly over brisket to distribute evenly.
Preheat smoker to 225' using indirect heat and hardwood smoke. Smoke brisket directly on rack until internal thermometer reaches 165' (usually takes around 8 hours)

Remove from smoker and wrap brisket in foil.
Place back in smoker and smoke until internal temperature reaches 202' in the thickest part of the meat. (takes 5-8 hours.)

Remove the brisket and place in cooler and let rest 1 hour before slicing. This is important for the juices. Slice and serve.
