2 lbs stew meat
2 lbs new potatoes, sliced in half
4 carrots, cut into 1½ inch pieces
1 lg onion, cut in half and sliced
2 bay leaves
parsley
salt and pepper to taste
water to cover
¼ c oil
flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge stew meat in flour in a dutch oven and sear. Add all other ingredients and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and turn down to med low heat. Stir, cover and simmer 2 hours or until carrots are cooked through.

Additional spices may be added to your taste. I use no salt seasoning and a little Lawry's seasoned salt.
