CRUST

1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter
2 T chopped fresh chives
2 T cold water

FILLING

8 oz (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked chicken
6 slices cooked bacon, cut into l inch pieces
1/4 lb fresh asparagus
1 1/2 cups half and half
4 large eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Additional seasonings of your choice is needed also

Bake 375º

Combine flour and salt in bowl, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in chives and water. Mixture will be crumbly. Shape into a ball. Roll out dough and press into 10 inch quiche pan. Crimp. Spread cheese over bottom of crust. Top with chicken. Sprinkle with bacon. Place asparagus spears on top of bacon. Stir together all remaining ingredients and pour over chicken mixture. Bake 40-45 minutes or until set in the middle.
