½ c. sugar
¼ c. corn syrup
2 Tbsp. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water and corn syrup. Bring to a boil. Boil hard without stirring to 245º F., about 5 minutes.
Beat the egg whites until stiff. Pour the hot syrup in a thin stream into the egg whites, beating constantly. Continue beating until soft peaks form. Blend in vanilla. Ice top and sides of a cake.
