1 cup shortening
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2 cup flour
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup nut meats

Directions:
Directions:
cream sugar and shortening
add beaten egg and vanilla
sift dry ingredients together and add them
add nuts
mix well
form into small balls and roll in white sugar
press flat with bottom of glass you've dipped in sugar
bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes
