4 slices thick bacon
1 lb Brussel sprouts
Sauce - might double next time
1 T minced garlic or garlic powder
1/2 lemon juiced
1 T brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Using big cast iron skillet, cook bacon. Remove and reserve 2 T drippings in the skillet.
Wash and trim Brussel sprouts. Cut lengthwise.
Heat bacon dripping over medium heat. Once hot, quickly add sprouts and garlic to drippings and stir around. Sauté until sprouts begin to look charred, stirring frequently, about 4 minutes.
Cover pan cook 5 more minutes. Crumble bacon. Pourt lemon juice, sugar and bacon of top. Warm a bit just before serving.

Brenda Gantt, Ellen Waak's cookbook. I changed recipe by cooking on stove top instead of oven so sprouts are crisp, as being over cooked.
