For the Cake:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
For the Glaze (opt):
¼ cup powdered sugar
1-2 Tbsp milk or cream

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9" springform pan.
In large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until fully combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Mix Dry Ingredients: In separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix.
Pour batter into prepared springform pan; bake 30-35 min until wooden skewer inserted into center comes out clean.
Cool: Let cake cool completely in pan on wire rack before removing the sides of pan.
Make Glaze (opt): In small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar & milk or cream until smooth.
Glaze Cake (opt): Drizzle glaze over cooled cake.
Tips & Variations:
For a Richer Flavor: Use full-fat cream cheese for a creamier texture.
Add-Ins: Mix in 1 cup chopped nuts, ½ cup chocolate chips, or 1 cup fresh or frozen berries for added flavor.
