Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. breakfst sausage (like Jimmy Dean)
1/3 cup flour
3 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp.pepper
Warm Biscuits for serving

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet, add sausage and break apart. Cook, breaking up sausage until it is no longer pink and thoroughly cooked. Drain sausage, leaving 2 to 3 tablespoons drippings with sausage.

Reduce heat to medium-low. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir to coat. Let this cook for 2 minutes, stirring, until flour is lightly toasted to get rid of raw flour taste.

Then, while stirring, pour in the milk and mix together with sausage. Increase the heat to medium-high. Once the mixture boils and thickens stir and reduce heat to medium-low. Add salt and pepper, let this simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

You can add more salt and pepper if desired.

Serve over warm biscuits.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
* The gravy will thicken as it sits. If it thickens too much, add an extra 1/2 cup of milk to mixture to thin it out to desired consistency.

This is very good with eggs, sausage, bacon and hashbrowns.
