Ingredients: 6 large Eggs (if use small eggs use 8) 1/4 cup Milk 1/4 cup Sugar 3 tablespoons Butter (softened is best) 1/4 teaspoon Salt 1 tablespoon Vanilla (more or less to taste) 2 to 3 tablespoons Baking Powder 1 can Butter flavor Crisco 1-2 boxes Powdered Sugar (Cinnamon sugar if prefer)
Large pot large bowl. Rolling pin Knife Brown bag or bowl

Directions:Mix all ingredients together till becomes a dough and pulls from sides of bowl. (If you use a mixer don't over mix, only mix till starts pulling from sides of bowl.) Chill in bowl for minimum 4 to 6 hours (best overnight).
DO NOT KNEED DOUGH when remove from refrigerator. Put dough on floured surface and roll out 1/4 inch or so.
Cut dough in slices and cut slice in center of dough and pull one end through to look like bow tie.
Heat Crisco in pot. Test a piece of dough when drop in should come right up. If it does oil is ready. Place bow ties in oil from 1 -2 minutes till brown. Remove from oil. While hot place in bag with powdered sugar or bowl and coat. Remove and place on platter.

Notes: This recipe is from old hand full flour, 3 seconds milk, etc. Taste batter and adjust as necessary. Don't over roll. Don't kneed dough, Make sure dough is chilled best over night or at least four hours minimum. Dough needs to be cold.
