2 medium onions, chopped
1 lb hamburger meat
5 (15oz) cans of diced tomatoes
1 can lima beans
1 can whole kernel corn
6 medium potatoes, cut up
salt & pepper to taste
garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer tomatoes and onions in large pot. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Brown hamburger meat, drain and add to tomatoes. Add potatoes and bring to a boil then simmer until potatoes are tender (about an hour). Add lima beans and corn. Cook for 20 minutes more on low heat.

This was my Mama's recipe. She was my grandmother on my mother's side. There were many times that I would come home from school and smell this soup cooking way down the driveway! I couldn't wait to get a bowl. It freezes so well that one pot can last for many meals
