½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup + 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon honey
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons cornstarch+ 2 tsp water , mixed together to make a cornstarch slurry
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions:

Add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for about 1 minute. The sauce should be thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Allow to cool.
