2 lbs of sweet potatoes or yams (about 6 medium)
6 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp cream or milk
1 cup packed dark brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Wash potatoes but do not pare. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add potatoes; cover and boil about 30 minutes. Take out of water and allow to slightly cool. Then slice into ½ inch thick slices. In a large skillet melt butter and add brown sugar and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Add slices of sweet potatoes. Stir gently until all slices are glazed. Heat thoroughly and potatoes are fork tender.
