½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup sour cream
½ tsp. almond extract
1½ cups flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
3 or 4 firm ripe peaches

Topping:
½ cup sugar
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ cup finely chopped walnuts
1 Tbsp. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl combine butter and sugars. Beat until creamy. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Then beat in sour cream and almond extract. In another bowl, stir together flour and baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture until blended. Spoon into a well-greased square pan. Peel and slice peaches ⅛ - ¼ inch thick to make 2 cups of fruit. Arrange evenly over batter.

Topping:
Mix together sugar, cinnamon, chopped walnuts and butter. Sprinkle nut topping over peaches. Bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
