Directions:Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I love to cook, and I really do go all out for this holiday. I love to get out the good china and silver and have all my family come together to enjoy the feast. We always have a few friends over too! Either way, I try and accommodate everyone because each family member has a favorite and so do my friends and that means a lot of different dishes. I like doing it by myself, so I start preparing couple of weeks in advance and put things in the freezer that I know will do well. I make two sizes of rolls because one we eat with lunch and the other is basically a sandwich roll to be eaten with left over turkey. That is when I enjoy my efforts and can sit and have a turkey and relish sandwich on a roll and a piece of pumpkin pie. YUM! My grandkids get a big kick out of the lists I make ahead of time with the days and time it takes to make each item. I post it on the fridge just so I don’t forget something and mark it off when completed. So, with all this said, the following is our menu for that special day. All the recipes are in this cookbook.
Turkey and Ham Dressing Gravy Mashed Potatoes Sweet Potatoes Green Beans Creamed Corn Macaroni and Cheese (added in 2024) Stuffed Celery Cranberry Relish Hawaiian Salad Vegetable and Relish Tray Dinner Rolls Pineapple Muffins Pecan Pie Pumpkin Pie Berry Pie Apple Pie
Some kind of appetizer while everyone is waiting to eat!
