6 medium green pepper
1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 16-ounce can tomatoes, cut
1/2 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 ounces sharp process American cheese, shredded (1 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut off the tops of green pepper; remove seeds and membrane. Scallop the edges. Precook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes; drain. (For crisp peppers, omit precooking.) Sprinkle inside of cups generously with salt.

Brown meat with onion. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper. Stir in tomatoes, rice, 1/2 cup of water, and Worcestershire. Cover; simmer 15 minutes. Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers; place in 10x6x1.5 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
