Ingredients: 1# flank steak, thinly sliced in bite sizes 2 T oil separated 1# broccoli cut into 6 C florets 2 tsp sesame seeds
Sauce ingredients
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated 2 tsp garlic, grated 1/2 C hot water 6 T Tamari or low sodium soy sauce 3 T packed light brown sugar 1 1/2 T corn starch 1/4 tsp black pepper 2 T sesame oil

Directions:Prep Start rice. Cover and freeze steak for 30 minutes to make it easier to slice.
Combine all sauce ingredients and stir well to dissolve sugar, and set aside.
Place a heavy skillet or wok over median heat and add 1 T oil. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 4-5 minutes until bright green. Set aside.
Increase heat to high and add 1 T oil. Add beef and sauté about 4 minutes.
Add sauce and reduce heat to medium/low. Simmer 3-4 minutes until it thickens.
Add broccoli stirring to combine. Stir in 1-2 T water if you wish to thin the sauce. Top with sesame seeds. Serve over rice. |
