2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
⅓ cup butter at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 egg at room temperature
1 cup milk at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla
3½ cups fresh whole raspberries
Glaze
1½ cups confectioners sugar
2 tbsp cream or (milk with with melted butter)
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour salt and baking powder with a wire whisk
Cream softened butter with mixer, add sugar gradually beating after each addition until mixture is fluffy and light. Stir in egg and beat 1 minute. Combine milk and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla mixture beating well after each addition.Spread cake batter in greased and floured 9x13 baking pan. Spread raspberries over top of batter. Bake 350º for 30-35 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Combine glaze and spread over cake leaving berries exposed. Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
