2 C. flour
6 T. powdered sugar
1/8 t. salt
1 C. butter, softened
1 t. vanilla
1 C. finely chopped nuts (pecans are traditional)
Powdered sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Combine with powdered sugar
and salt. In large bowl, beat butter and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour mixture until just combined and
then stir in nuts. Roll into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes but do
not let them brown. When slightly warm, roll in powdered sugar. Roll them a second time after they are
completely cool. Makes about 5 dozen cookies
