5 c flour, sifted
3/4 c Crisco
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
3 tsp Baking Powder
3 Tbsp sugar
3 pkgs yeast dissolved in 1/2 c warm water (not hot)
2 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
-Mix sugar and yeast together with warm water, set aside
-Combine all other dry ingredients and shortening in a bowl
-Add buttermilk and yeast mixture in a pocket in the middle
-Work (hand mix) everything up to a sticky dough
-Roll out to about a half inch thickness, evenly

400 degrees for 12 minutes
