Meatballs:

1 1/2 pounds Ground Chuck
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup cold water
1 egg
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 slice bread, cut in bits with no crust

Sauce:

2 tablespoon oil
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 clove pressed garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp oregano
Dash bitters
1 tsp. flour
1 beef bullion cube
1 cup water
t tsp dry mustard
2 jiggers bourbon
1 jigger sweet vermouth

Meatballs:

1. Mix above ingredients. Form small meatballs, 1/2" diameters. Brown.
2. Add to sauce below. Make this recipe the day before needed and refrigerate overnight in sauce.

Sauce:

1. Cook onion and garlic in oil.
2. Blend in Flour
3. Dissolve bullion cube in 1 cup boiling water and add to above.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Add cooked meatballs and simmer meatballs in sauce 5 minues.
6. Remove and put in refrigerator overnight.
7. When ready to serve, reheat and serve hot.
