1 can cut green beans
1/2 lb. bacon
onion, chopped
salt & pepper to taste

Saute bacon on low to medium heat - do not let it get crispy. Add onion and saute a few minutes longer. Add contents of green beans (including juice). Add salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer all day.

Adjust quantity of cans of green beans and bacon to needs. My grandma and my mom made these all the time for my dad. The aroma of the beans cooking all day reminds me of home.
