1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon orange zest
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

-Preheat the Oven:
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-Cream the Butter & Sugars:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
-Add Eggs & Orange Flavor: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated. Next, add the orange zest and fresh orange juice, mixing until well combined.
-Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
-Mix Wet & Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
-Fold in Cranberries & Chocolate:
Gently fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, if using.
-Scoop the Dough:
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
-Bake:
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
-Cool the Cookies:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
