Collard Greens
Beef or vegetable stock
Pinch of sugar
Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Onion powder
Garlic powder
White onion, diced
Ham hock

Measure all ingredients with your heart

Directions:
Directions:
Cut off all stems and clean collards thoroughly. In a big pot, fill with beef or vegetable stock (if beef, use less salt) until collards are completely covered. Add in pinch of sugar, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder into pot. Cook slowly for three hours minimum. In separate pan, saute onion and ham hock until brown. Then cut and put into collards pot to simmer longer. The longer, the better!
