½ tsp dry mustard
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground cloves
dash garlic powder
4 tbsp vinegar
¼ cup beet juice or water
2 cup drained cooked or canned sliced beets

Directions:

1. Combine mustard, sugar, salt, cloves and garlic powder.
2. Slowly stir in vinegar and water.
3. When smooth, pour over beets.
4. Refrigerate until well chilled.
