4 pts. raspberries
7 C. sugar
1¾ oz. box Sure-Jell fruit pectin
½ tsp. butter or margarine

Crush fully ripened raspberries and sieve half the pulp to remove some seeds. Measure fruit into 6- or 8-qt. pot. Measure sugar into separate bowl. Add Sure-Jell fruit pectin and butter or margarine to fruit. Bring mixture to full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Quickly add sugar to fruit mixture. Return mixture to full rolling boil and boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam. Fill all jars to within ⅛ inch of tops. Wipe jar rims
Cover with lids and screw on bands. Invert jars five minutes, then turn upright. After an hour, check seals or use USDA water-bath method.
Yields eight 8-oz. containers.
