Mom's Pecan Pie Recipe

4 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
1½ cups white Karo (can use ½ white and ½ dark Karo)
⅓ cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp. flour
1½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
1½ cups pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar and syrup for 2 to 3 minutes; cool slightly. Beat eggs and pour in syrup mixture. Add butter, flour, vanilla, and salt. Mix well and pour into uncooked pie shell. Place pecans on top and punch down into syrup. After pecans have all risen to the top, bake at 350º for 45 to 60 minutes.

I put foil around the edge of the pie for the first 25 minutes of cooking to avoid getting the crust too brown.
