small pickles
celery
red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
lima Beans (drained and rinsed)
cauliflower
small onions (pearl onions)
carrots

1/2 c. salt
5 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. vinegar
2 1/2 c. water
2 T. mustard seed
1 t. turmeric

Directions:
Directions:
Enough of the above vegetables to make 1 gallon. Amount of vegetables is based on your preferences.

Dissolve salt in ice water and pour over vegetables. Let stand 3 hours and drain.

Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and spices and bring to a boil. Add drained veggies and heat to boiling point. Do not boil. Pack into jars and seal. Process for 10 mins.

Note: I used 4 c. sugar.
