½ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup white sugar
¼ cup buttermilk ( or ¼ cup milk + 2 ½ tablespoons lemon juice)
1 ½ tablespoons vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
9 ½ cups shredded cabbage
½ cup grated carrots
¼ cup minced sweet onion

Directions:

1. Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, buttermilk, vinegar, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl until dressing is well combined.
2. Add cabbage, carrots, and onion to dressing; mix well. Refrigerate before serving, at least 3 hours or up to overnight.
