1 bottle dry red wine
1 cup pomegranate juice
⅓ cup Grand Marnier
¾ cup cinnamon simple syrup
1 honeycrisp apple
1 navel orange
1 cup fresh cranberries
½ cup pomegranate arils
Crushed ice for serving
cinnamon sticks for garnish
rosemary sprigs for garnish

for the simple syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks

for the sugared cranberries:
1 - 12oz bag cranberries
½ cup water
1½ cups granulated sugar divided

Sangria:
In a large pitcher, combine red wine, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, Grand Marnier, ¾ cup simple syrup, apple slices, orange slices, cranberries and pomegranate arils. Stir and store in the refrigerator for 2 - 4 hours or until ready to serve. Serve over ice with a stick of cinnamon and a sprig of rosemary and a handful of sugared cranberries.

Cinnamon simple syrup:
In a medium sauce pan, bring water, sugar and cinnamon sticks to a boil. Boil 1 or 2 minutes to infuse cinnamon into the syrup. Let cool completely and remove cinnamon sticks.

Sugared Cranberries:
Bring water and ½ cup sugar to a boil. Once boiling, stir for thirty seconds until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the cranberries. Stir until completely coated then remove to a wire rack to dry. Roll in remaining sugar a return to the rack to continue drying.
