1 c. butter, softened 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda 
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon 
1 egg 
1 tsp. vanilla 
8 oz. pure pumpkin 
2 c. flour

Frosting
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/8 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla 
2 to 3 cups, powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F  
In a large bowl beat butter for 30 seconds Add sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon be until well combined. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add pumpkin until well combined. Mix in flour until combined.

Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop cookies and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the tops are set

Leave on pan for five minutes before transferring to wire a cooling rack

For frosting
In a small sauce, pan, heat butter and brown sugar until melted and smooth. Stir in milk and vanilla. Beat in the powdered sugar until smooth. Spread on cookies and if desired, sprinkle with decorative sugars or sprinkles.

I picked these cookies because whenever my mom makes these cookies everyone loves them. These are one of my favorite cookies.  They are even good frozen!!
