Directions:
This is a standard recipe for making cranberry sauce with fresh or frozen berries.

Rinse and drain a 12-ounce bag of fresh or frozen cranberries and transfer to a saucepan. Add 1 cup sugar, 1 strip orange or lemon rind (if using) and 1 cup water to the saucepan and cook over med-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries are soft, about 15-20 minutes. Add sugar, salt and pepper to taste and cool to room temperature before serving.

This cranberry sauce recipe has always been delicious, mostly because it was (usually) made by our Shorn.
